The shiny bits are leather! [:)]

"Partial leather" means all of the seat facings are in leather. "Full leather" means that the dashboard and doors are covered in leather as well as the seats - you can tell as you'll have the double stitching on the instrument cowl and door tops.

In the old days (ie the 986 2.7) the standard seats were alcantara in the centre bits and leather on the edges, but these were never described officially as "partial".

They still do Alcantara and leatherette it is in a 987 2.7 that I am test driving this week.

I think that is corect the S has stiching on the side doors as standard and still comes with full leather as an exrta .On the 2.7 part and full are an extra confussing the amount bits you can have or not depends on your budget .I have to say the 2.7 Idrove was not the one I wanted to drive as I had booked a Tip but was sold so I tried our a short shift manual and to be fair it drove well and you could go around side streets at 8 mph in 3rd gear and take off with no juddering ,but I still think it has to be a tip
