Hi,

I am sure this must have been posted before but I am trying to get two Porsche supplied front bonnet struts for the cab. Mine are a little tired and need replacing. I tried my local Porsche garage - Aberdeen and they can get me 1 !!!!! Anyway any idea where to get good quality struts?

Also I need a rubber strip for the cab roof - actually the strip of rubber at shoulder height on the inside of the car. Part number 94156152010 / 51910. (Can't figure our the L & R options!!!). Any ideas welcome or anyone know of a breaking cab - god forbid! - let me know.

Thanks....FB

I just got my bonnet gas struts from Porsche-a-part. About £20 each I think (or was that for the tailgate struts that I bought at the same time), brand new of course. Not sure if they are the same as OEM ones but seem to be fine 3yrs down the line.

I just got my bonnet struts from Bert - his details are at this link.

£11 each plus postage, and they are the same as the original Porsche part. I don't think you'll find them any cheaper than that.

It pretty easy to change it, but its a 2 man job, one to hold the bonnet and slide the pin back in, and the other to pull down on the new strut to shorten it so that it can clip back in.
