PASM & 19" Carrera S Wheels

Has anyone got any experience of PASM and is it worth the cost.

I am looking at moving onto Boxster number 2, this time an S and I am looking to kit it out with the Carerra S Wheels and I am told that PASM will deal with the ride issues associated with the bigger wheels.

Also has anyone seen a Midnight Blue Car with a Grey Roof. I am wanting to know if the colour combo works.

I have driven both 18" with PASM Boxster and 19" Clad Boxster S without PASM.

Honestly not a huge amount of difference.

PASM is great piece of standard kit on the 997 S but save yourself £1000.

Obviously, horses for courses and all that. Heated sports seats is a much better way of spending the money IMHO[;)]

Thanks for that, I am trying a Boxster S on Saturday at the local dealer. I think it has the 19" wheels but I am not sure if it has PASM fitted. Unfortunately it is a tiptronic car (I say unfortunately because I am looking to have a manual car)

Fingers crossed that it is good as I am hoping it will be.

[8D]Uncross them it's better than you can imagine, shame about the g/box though :ROFLMAO:

Personally, on a Boxster intended for road use, I wouldn't bother with PASM.

Also, as indicated in several initial road tests, I believe the Boxster will ride and handle better on UK roads with 18" wheels.

Save the money or spend it on other goodies.

Problem is Oliver, I love the Carerra S Wheels I think they really make the car (Although that's just personal taste of course). I will give the demo car a run and see what it is like and then hopefully I will order one for spring.

I am really suprised I get one so early for delivery. In fact the OPC offered me a car for immediate delivery which I thought was an avsolute impossibility. Have the increased production or is demand down at the moment?

I recently test drove the 987S and and 997S, both fitted with 19" wheels and PASM. I previously had a Boxster S with 17" wheels. I thought the Boxster ride was exceptional, even with 19" wheels. Down a stretch of motorway/A road the ride was very comfortable. On the twisties it firmed up nicely and felt pretty flat. I also agree that the car looked fabulous on the 19" Carrera wheels.

I thought the car was a very significant improvement over my old Boxster but hard to tell if that is the PASM or generally better dynamics. If I were buying, I would go for it as it offers the best of both worlds.

Just my thoughts.
