Took the garage queen to Hillcrest Specialist cars in Nettlebed. Had an mot and took it back tues for a coolant temp switch and oil change. I supplied the switch. Passed mot no advisories and picked it up weds. Total bill inc. mot £167.
Labour £55. This time it had done 1,551 miles since the last mot. Creeping ever closer to 47,000 miles.

It is always satisfying to have an MOT certificate in the hand. From you I would expect nothing less than a pass :).

Erm, which one is the 'Garage Queen'?

1500 miles a year makes for a very expensive ornament John ... but bravo on the pass none the less; it's always a good feeling!

Yeah, that has to be about £350 in petrol alone, you need to cut down on the miles[:D]

It always feels quick too, until you take "liberties" and you realise that you are not in the 996.

It was my car for retirement until the very nice Mr Johnson crossed my palm with 67,000 peices of gold.
Funny thing is that now retired I have done nearly as many miles in queenie as I have in the AX gti which has only done 1,900 miles since MOT last june, I've actually done more miles in the 996, possibly 3,600 becasue it is so lovely to drive

My 220 will have only covered around 1500 miles since the last MOT in May 13, I did tax it and drive it last Saturday though, kept driving it rather than tinkering which was the original plan [:D]
