Passenger Airbag Deactivation Light

Gents, has anyone got a good photo of the airbag deactivation light installed into the centre console of a 987 Boxster? I have just had the child seat deactivation kit installed at my local OPC and the indicator light mounting looks crooked when view next to the top straight edge of the ash tray running transverse. The short edge of the light surround appears to be lined up with the drivers side edge of the centre console which makes it look crooked next to the straight edge on the ash tray.

Ideas? How do they fit the light into the centre console? Do they drill a hole with a template?

Regards

Jason.

They cut out the centre console to raised marks on the underside of the console:

Thanks Richard. My light surround line beneath the writing doesn't line up with the side edge of the ashtray like the picture seems to show. The instructions seem to indicate that the Tech follows a pattern. Any real life pics?

Hey Tools Pants, excellent. Is it my eye sight or does the right hand edge of the light facia line up with the right edge of the console or is the bottom edge parallel with the ash tray short side?

when i.ve always fitted them they have always lined up with the ashtray , it all depends on whether the made a mess of cutting the hole...

which one did it...

they will prob just fob you off saying its placed where its supposed to be as per guide under console...

Reading, they also got some sort of compound all over the seat which i can't seem to get of with the leather cleaner!

take it back and tell them you ain't happy with the position of the light and the condition of your sear
