Passenger Door Courtesy (Fascia) Light

May be this is another well known challenge for Gen 1 owners (in addition to my PCM microphone). Has anyone else suffered with a light (the white/red one) that wont go out? Only just happened this evening when I unlocked the car to come home. Tried tapping it but it wont turn off (even when driving). Everything else dims and extinguishes. Any advice?

Just to be sure, were not on about the oreintation light are we?
Small light at the front of the rear view mirror..

Gary,

No - it's the one in the door panel itself. That said it has gone out now and I can't repeat the fault. Odd though - my 4 year old Mondeo doesn't do that. That said, I'm thoroughly enjoying the car despite the odd blip.
