Passenger door issue

My 2010 970 Panamera 4 has developed an issue with the passenger door. When I unlock the car using the key, the passenger door does not unlock. It opens fine from inside the car and the passenger door locks okay on exit using the remote. Any ideas or anyone experienced this issue before?

Just a thought before you get into the details of the mechanism - worth checking that something hasn’t gone awry with the locking set up in the menus as it can be set to unlock drivers door only which may give the symptoms you describe. I’ve tried to attach the relevant page from "good to know" but if it’s failed I’m sure the manual can point you in the right direction regards which menus.
That said I have no idea of a good reason for why it may have changed !

Thanks Stephen,

Appreciate the attachments - very helpful - I’ll look at the menu selections in the morning when I take The car out. I’ll also have a look at my book as well this evening to make sure I know the right menu option.

I hope you have a good evening.

Regards,
Iain

Hi Stephen,

Unfortunately no. I read the lock section in the manual, checked the menu in the car settings and it was already set to 'open all doors'.

I deselected it, re selected it and it didn't make any difference.

I am thrown because the door locks correctly so it is only the open function that is lacking. I wondered if there is a fuse that just controls the one task (but this would not seem feasible for one action) or if there is a loose connection in the door.

Any thoughts?

I had same problem with my drivers side passenger door what you have to do is take the door lock apart there are two gears inside which become out of sync with each other they tend to jump a couple of teeth once re sync it should be OK
