Passenger door not opening

Hi I have recently had my Boxster resprayed [:)] but after its first wash the passenger door wont open from inside or out[:mad:]. We have had a look in the door and can here something operating but obviously not working properly. The cable from what we can see is intact. Anyone have any ideas on what it may be or will it need to go to the grage for a better look?
