Would it be a good idea to put all my old posts up on here for all to read.
It looks like we are getting a few more real enthusiasts owning the cars now ,the ownership type seems to be changing in the direction of the earlier more common 964rs gang [;)] now that they are getting on a bit in years.

What do you mean getting a few more real enthusiasts now?

Some of us are keeping our 993 RS, resisting the temptation of garish liveried uber kettles! [:)]

Please post the articles up, it would be good to read them.

Access to the articles would be really appreciated via Forum.
P.S
I have a fitting arranged for my change to Tweed wardrobe along with subscription to 'Beard growing for Beginners' Given my advancing years you understand![;)]

Clubsport you know what i mean[;)],but dont grow beards guys, its not cool!

Uber kettle should be good, even with garish colours.Just seen a audi tt in what looks like the porsche black grey colour,it looks a horrible colour so far,may well look better with a bit of red here and there.
Its got a lot to live up to ,especially the 993rsr thats still sat in my garage waiting for some more exercise.
Of to see it next week.

I will put some past posts up from tonight, may be one a week to keep you all interested and allow your beards to either be trimmed or to grow longer.

Paul, you can't expect not to get some stick over your imminent purchase.[:D]

I take it you have seen the latest "Autobahn" video of the 997.2 GT3RS, goes well and sounds even better...not sure it well ever see use at Castle Combe on a standard exhaust though? [:D]

Look forward to the articles.

It would be most useful --- 'still happy to be a member also of the common 964RS gang !

And quietly polluting the 993RS gang [:D][:D]

Paul,

The more articles the better. I have a reasonable collection of 'em myself being a bit of an old anorak.

So many of them say the same things and get the facts wrongt as we have seen. My personal favorite was the Colin Goodwin piece in Car in 1995 about driving an RS down to Paul Ricard.

Hi Mike
Colin is a great journo and loves porsches. It was one of the few good articles,as you say most are so very similar.

remeber the Roger Bell/Car drubbing of the 964rs.

A classic example of how even car journalists (EVO particularly) seem to have to write to a pre-determined endpoint to make a story.

I know attitudes to hard suspension have softened but it so missed the point of what is clearly a wonderful trackday car not a grand tourer.

I am sure I could write an article explaining what a rubbish item a Linn turntable is at playing cds....
