Paul Stephens

Thought I'd take the trouble to express my satisaftory findings with the Porsche Indy Paul Stephens.
Having decided to switch from my 997 into something different I visited Paul Stephens and bought my little 993 Which I'm thrilled with. Whilst the car wasn't cheap it was prepared immaculately, fully serviced and MOT'd and anything that wasn't right was corrected prior to collection. The car also comes with a 6 month warranty.
The guys there offer a first class service and have some really interesting cars. Well worth a visit if you happen to be passing.
Also the Paul Stephens retro classics are beautifull. I may have to go down the route of owning one of them eventually.

I would second your opinion, I have allways found Paul easy to talk to and he has a good knowledge of our marque.

I'm not so sure about the Retro bit though[:-]

Really? I can see the benifits of a newly built car but with classic styling although I do wonder what resale would be like and how well recieved these cars are to non enthusiasts. They seem to resell the cars back through their dealership for original customers so I guess controlling the market. I should also add any concerns I had about my car were dealt with without any problems atall. I'd happily buy another car from PS.

David,

Interesting and good posting. I believe people should share more openly their experiences of 'good' and of course 'the bad'; regrettably all too often the ratio seems in favor of the latter.

I spent many months researching independant's of Paul's type through '06, '07, finally opting for the car of my dreams in Sept '07; which actually came from Paragon.

My (pre-arranged) visit to Paul's was one I could not fault. He is a knowledgeable person with much experience in the mark, however be warned, if he offers you a ride in one of his retro classics, particularly the 'R', take a spare pare of pants,.....'Jesus'! :)

When he was down as his old locations he had an 'open day' Lots of Porsche cars and BBQ etc - really good day.

He also had quite a few Ginetta cars in stock - one of these (sorry dont know the model) Anyway Paul was actually taking people out for a spin in - well to those who remember his old location it was some way from the main road down a made up track leading to the farm. Well should I say it was best if you opted for your BBQ after he had taken you out[;)]

Rumour had it he Paul had done a bit of racing - don't know how true that was !
