Can anyone tell me what PC Hatfield is like for car servicing? Any good ? Expensive? Anywhere better ? All comments are welcome.

The regional guys may be more of assistance to be fair, although forum rules dictate we could actually say if they were bad [&:] [;)]

I purchased my Cayman S new from them and had them carry out the first (2-year) service in September. They've also rectified a couple of minor electrical faults under warranty and replaced the HPFP under a recall.

I've no cause for complaint about the quality of their services and negotiated a discount on the menu price for the service, although I did take out an extended warranty at the same time.

See link, not had a service but no complaints from me.

I have had excellent service from Hatfield and would have no hesitation in recommending them. They do give a discount to PCGB members. The Service Advisor that I usually deal with is Katan and he is very helpful.

Have used Hatfield and in their previous life Charriots for many years. generally please with servicing and they give discount for PCGB.

However watch out for unecessary extras that they try to load onto servicing. Had been advised some years ago to have air conditioning serviced on a 2 year old car. A complete waste of money. Also a favourite among all types of garages is to say that the brake pads need replacing. I wait for the break pad wear light to come on and generally change them myself - an easy job. I have found that I have had many thousands of safe braking after being advised by the service people that new pads were necessary.

Hi,

I've used Hatfield for many years for both my old Boxster and now my 911 which I bought from them. My contact is Katan, he genuinely goes the extra mile to make sure I'm happy with all the work done. I have nothing but praise for the workshop technicians as well. One of the technicians I believe has been at Hatfield for some 25 years when they were located at their previous facility down the road.

Cheers
Mike

never used them for servicing as yet, but from conversations I've had their techs seem to know their stuff.

and you do of course have the benefit of meeting the lovely Pam on reception :)

Yep, noticed this last week when in for my two year service ......... so there's another very good reason to use Hatfield .........[8D]
