Part number for the guide is 999 571 074 30 (You need two for PCCB to be safe) Did you not find two of these in your tool kit ?

Doh - I will check Nick (I never thought of that - what a muppet.......)

Chris, FYI I ordered one from here: http://www.motordrive.com/acatalog/Suspention.html At the time I pointed out that their website was rather flaky (problems with emailing and payment) and they sent me two guide bolts with free P&P. Unfortunately, I doubt that you'll find anything in your toolkit when Porsche can charge you extra for them.! As Nick has pointed out, Porsche recommend the use of two guide bolts for PCCBs (check your handbook). Jeff

Thanks chaps - checked the toolkit and no guide bolts...... I'll have a wander around the internet and see if I can track some down. Cheers

Cheers - found the one's in the link this morning and order placed.

I've not used these before the Porsche but bought one to fit the spacers on my Cayman. It made the job a breeze despite bolts rather than studs so much so that I've ordered one for my BMW.

They are not in the tool kit --- you need to buy them extra. They were in the tool kit of my 996 GT3 MkII which also had PCCB's ....

ORIGINAL: Richard Hamilton I bought two Porsche ones for mine, and they were only about £6 each.
Which really makes me question Porsche's decision not to include them with the PCCB brake option. An aberration in my view, and I therefore hope they are reading this [;)]

Even without PCCB they do save potential damage to calipers and the the wheel, I got two off ebay ages ago along with one of the jacking blocks, a pity the trolley jack doesn't fit underneath that without running up on a pair of low ramps I made up, for the front end.
