PCCM DAB reception

Hi,
I have had a pccm installed in my 2004 C4S, the DAB reception is very poor and FM isn’t much better. The installer said it’s got two aerial connections. Before I take it apart and have a look has anyone else had a similar issue and fixed it?
apparently he didn’t use one of the connections…

my 2004 C4S has two of the amplifiers one in each door pillar. Does the link wire go in the drivers side or passenger side? (Photos from another post elsewhere but detail the connections well) I have also linked out the connection in the passenger footwell.
