Hi

Trip to the above. I'm waiting to hear about ticket prices but can't imagine they will be steep.

Anyone interested?

Cheers

James

Unfortunatlely something has come up which means I now can't make this date. Shame as I think it's the last round that's reasonably local to us.

However, I've been in touch with Harriet Shannon (RO for Glos. region) and they have organised half price entry and dediicated parking. Go to the PCGB Members Only section of the forum, all the the instructions are there.

Sorry to have to bail out, I'm looking for volunteers to step in and organise a convoy!

Cheers

James

I'm intending to go....been to it the last couple of years and it's great to be there with Porsche parking right by the circuit. I think there's a booking code somewhere (concours usually organised by Tony & Harriet Shannon). Try the Concours thread?

It was popsted under the "Members Only" section of this forum, but here it is again!!

Castle Combe Full Race Day - Monday 29th August

This is not officially part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, however, the programme includes races for the Porsche Club Championship and inter marque challenge.

We have negotiated a Porsche Club only car park and a special deal for half price admission tickets at £7.50 per person which are available on line at www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk quoting code PCGB11, or phone Castle Combe Offices on 01249 782417 quoting the same code. Half price tickets will be available until midday on Tuesday 23rd August. Tickets also include paddock passes.

There will be no concours competiton or trade stands on our area at this event as the date is too close to the 50th Anniversary Event at Cirencester.

Just booked....great value at £7.50 a ticket! Looking forward to the 911/944/968 battle, the "handicapping" makes for really close racing. Wonder if there are any Boxsters yet?

Update!

I can now make it to this but the half price ticket deadline has expired []

Also my 968 is kaput with various belt problems and possibly a broken pas pump...

So I'll either come in the Mondeo or scrounge a lift.

Hi James...sorry to hear you've got problems again. I've got my tickets and still up for group travel!

Porsche qualifying is at 0840...you could twist my arm to persuade H to make an early start (meet 0800 ish at Membury?!). Otherwise we'd be looking to leave so as to arrive c1000 in time to see the Morgans. Alternative meet is the Hungerford slip A338 J13 or 14, there's a lay by where I could lurk).

When we've been before there's been normal parking quite close to the PCGB....past the main entrance on the Chippenham/Bristol road, then turn left down a country lane. Tony/Harriet might be able to enlighten you.

Off to France again 'till Saturday...text me?

Hi Graham

Yeah, looks like the pas pump is worn (about the only major component I haven't replaced) and the end float in the pulley threw the belt off, partially shredding the alternator belt on its way. Back to Hillcrest...

If I go I will try for the Porsche quali (maybe with other R19ers as passengers if they are up for it) and meet you there; convoy driving not quite such fun in a Mondeo!

I will text you either way, enjoy France.

Cheers

James
