98db???

with my wide boy tennis ball thrower exhaust theres no chance of me getting through..shame as i loved donington last time[:)]

rockingham international circuit with bookatrack 26/9...although very little run off []

Hi Matt

It is 98db drive by rather than static - I have been there before on Trackzone days (Circuits own track days organization) and some very loud cars have gone through no problem. Check with the circuit and see what they say but I think you may find you are ok.

Regards

I have a Clubsport that read 103db static and 93db,flat out , 'fly past' spent a great day at Good wood last month if dat helps ?

Yoda, Just sent off my cheque for Donnington........just hope its dry or I'm coming in the Clio!....Last time I went there I ended up in the kitty litter on my bike....then when I got back out the brake lever came off in my hand on the approach to the hairpin.....oops

Hi. I just spoke to Steve Kevlin and he has confirmed order of play for the day. Signing on from 8am, driver briefing and first hour (from 9am) in sessions. From 10am the plan is to run an open pit lane.

Its a great circuit so should be fun (oh please let it be dry[&:]).

Who else is going? me, Mel, Jim, Vic, THEOS .......... any one else we know?

See you Friday.

The YELLOW PERIL will be in attendance, noise obviously a problem, but have a cunning plan, select neutral out of the chicane, coast past the noise tester in pit lane then floor it , meeting Mel for onward journey to show also.
Just for the record the Peril is 102 dbs on tickover and 117dbs when in a hurry[but it sounds LUVVLY], so dont follow me out of the chicane, but keep an eye on your mirrors at the Craner Curves.

I've done a couple of Doningtons own trackdays this year and in both briefings they mentioned they now have two noise meters out around the course as well as the one on the start gantry. Richard it may be worth double checking before you make your long trip over the ocean.

........my cunning plan now subtly amended on inside information.........get as close to Richard as humanely possibly on the start finish and blame my noise on him![:D]

vic...is that like a hat check....turn up.....off with the nipples....off you go streamlined for minimum drag

Jimbers,

There should be quite a convoy past the pits, we must find out where the others are hidden, it could be a hard day on the BRAKES.

....yes.......I wonder what db level it would take to knock one out, disable it....you know...take an innocent walk round the track, sidle up to it, hit a button....poof.....125dba all day full chat ha ha!....with the growth in trackdays theres got to be a market for a gizmo like that![8D]
