I know I haven't been around for a while but have you ever tried driving an RS with torn collateral ligaments of both sides of your clutch knee?
I've just had my renewal notice through from Manning, explaining about the change of insurer and when I phoned them about the value they were stating on the policy (they said £44k) they told me that the new people, Summit, require a tracker to be fitted to any car worth over £50k. I tried explaining that the clock will flatten the battery in a fortnight if the car isn't driven, let alone a tracker, but they said it was an absolute requirement. They have found me an alternative (Aviva) at about £50 less but without trackday cover.
As you all know, even a tired looking RS, like the yellow one which has just appeared on Pistonheads will go for mid 50's, so it looks like Summit will not get any of our cars.
By the way, the Summit policy specifically excludes the Ring other than approved track days.
