We now have a price for members living in Ireland for this event.
The difference is that our discounted ferry fare has been removed, eveything else stays the same. The cost is £399 per person (assuming 2 sharing room and car) For further information contact me direct or through this forum.

We are awaiting the official conversion. Should be in Brian Adams bit in the next Porsche Post.

im sorry Geoff but i won't be coming as it's too near to Porsche parade and Le Mans.
We did Ireland last year with the club and enjoyed it greatly but i feel its too soon to repeat.

i would like to see something diffrent. wales, jersey, cornwall, scotland, lakedistrict. theres so many wonderful places in the UK to visit.

This is an 'Island Hoppers' event.
Cornwall, Scotland and the Lake District are NOT Islands. Jersey is and has a blanket 30 mph speed limit and very few roads. It is also very expensive, we looked at it for 2002 but it was a 'No go'.
By the way. Porsche Parade is much more expensive. Last year when it was held in Great Britain we got approx 30 British cars. In Ireland we got 120 cars!!

And you could have had several hundred more if it had been a more reasonable price...[]

Mark.
You are preaching to the converted. You may not know it but I refused to go even as a non paying official.

I personally beleive in a reasonable price that covers EVERYTHING including ferry fares.

Sorry Geoff.

Not intended "personally". Just a comment to the board I guess.

It was really very disapointing to find that, after looking forward to it for a few years, we just could not justify the enourmous cost.

A fortnights Holiday cost for 3 days in Wales - No thanks.
