We have been invited by Region 4 to join them on a visit to see the Donington collection of racing cars on Sunday 8th April.
Details from them below;
We have arranged a visit to see the Donnington collection, the largest collection of F1 and racing cars in the world. This will take place on Sunday 8th April and we have negotiated a reduced entrance price for PCGB members attending on the day of £6/hd.
It would be nice for us to all arrive in convoy, and a lot easier for the museum to charge at the reduced price. Therefore we propose to have our first meeting point at the Bentley Hotel at 0930. We will then proceed towards the new A46 to our 2nd rendezvous, the Lord Ted Pub on the A46 Farndon roundabout at 0950. We will travel along the new A46 via the Saxondale roundabout, A52 and A453.
The final meeting point will be at the Hilton East Midlands airport complex just off the M1 "" A453 interchange at 1035. From there, we will all convoy into the Donnington Museum where we will have time for a coffee and sandwich in the Grand prix Cafe before we start our tour.
Following a hopefully satisfying visit, it would be nice to find a local pub serving hot food and cold beer. Details TBN
We can join them at the last meeting place at the Hilton Hotel or if anyof you can meet the convoy before that then just let Richard (R4) know.
