The car suspension was stiffened up for the races but unfortunately it assisted in throwing me off at the right-hand corner at Lodge during qualifying. A gremlin appeared in the works for the first race and the car would not start. I needed a push start to get it going. I lost a few places at the start as there were cars colliding with each other near the pit wall and I decided to avoid all the mayhem rather than drive through it. 2 of the cars failed to finish the race as a result. The suspension was certainly too stiff as, yet again, it threw me off at Lodge. This time I managed to stall the car but it would not re-start as the gremlin was a poor connection in the starter motor.

We changed the starter motor for the second race and had greater success. We also softened the suspension a little and this did make an improvement.

A 5th place in Class 2 put me at 7th. [:(]

An exciting weekend by the sounds of it. Glad you came away with the car in tact - always a good start when discussing results.
