For Class P1, cars over 250bhp:
First: Paul Howells. 911ST
Second: Tim Barber. 964RS
Third: Melvin Spear. 964 Cup

Thanx to Tim for the mentoring over the last coupla years and Tim and Paul and the rest of the crew for support, advice and much paddock jollity!!!

With Adrian joining us next season could be a 964 podium. Anybody else going to join in the fun??

Hi Mel

After a season of chasing 4x4, 400 + bhp cars I feel it is now time for me to try my hand at one make only hill climb and sprint, so I will be in the mix next year !!

Nigel

Melvyn ,PH 911 st?
Adrian has two hopes, and first one is bob[;)][:D],so no 964 podium next year[8|],not that we are competitive and all that.Them 964rs are just to fat, heavy, and slow[:D]

And I suppose an old air cooled car's going to win it then eh....my RS it is!! [:D]

However I do hear that a certain old stager of a creaky watercooled car might just pinch it....cant imagine which one that is, must be that one with the young hot shoe driver......ok he's grey........ok and a bit overweight...not a lot....just a bit........likes a good curry........and a pint..............ok ok its me! Well done Tim and Melv for racing a honest stock factory cars and not getting too obsessed with winning by engineering evry bit of weight and performance to win ... well done Boys[;)]

As above, well done to all.

Surely any possible opportunity to gain advantage by modifying the car to the edge of the permitted class rules has to be taken?

Historically, I don't recall Porsche being that "shy" when it came to development in motorsport. [;)]

simon your a fine looking chap but!!!![:D]
Des? factory stock cars, neither 964 is.[:)]
Mine is a standard fia spec rsr,the key is the weight,i only weigh 62kg[;)] and most of the weight is in my right foot.[:D]

I am sure Melv could have shaved and waxed all his bits and save about 5kg!

Well done Paul ..... [:)]

Hi Clubsport,
you know what des is like, defensive to the end when it comes to his passsssssssssssssion 964 Rs,[;)]

It would be good to see a few more cars out next year, there is more to it than a 40 sec blast up the hill, especialy when you need to find a second or two.Almost as important is the late night bbq, booze, and banter.
Always the motorsport dinner to look forward to as well,my wife is really looking forward to it,not![8D]Last time i managed to walk into the hotels mirrored wall of the lift, thinking it was a corridor about 3am!!!

Sounds very tempting... do you accept German immigrants in case they own a 964 Cup car?

Hacki

Very well done Melv - a very impressive showing. Tim - a good job too.

Would still love to join the fun, if it fits around other circuit commitments.

C'mon Hugh! You know it makes sense!![;)]

I intend to do all the hills next year, plus Goodwood and Combe. Anglesey was too far, MIRA left me cold and whilst I enjoyed the challenge of Curborough, I'm having second thoughts....
