PCGB TRACK DAY NEWS from Steve Kevlin

First Track Day of 2012

The first Porsche Club Track Day of 2012 takes place at Castle Combe on this coming Thursday (19th April).

Take-up has been good, but due to a couple of late cancellations, we can still offer some places on this day. If you wish to book onto the day, please call Club office on 01608 652917 and we can take a booking over the telephone.

Alternatively, if the weather is good and you want to take a chance, just pop along on the day.

Track Days

The overall number of days has been reduced to reflect the downturn in the economy and the forecasts for the coming year. However, there is demand for the Club's Track Days and we have tried to put together a programme that reflects where the support is, rather than where the enthusiasm directs us. It is for that reason we are not planning to go to Donington Park this year, as the circuit is expensive to hire, but in 2011 it was poorly supported.

Options for 2012 Track Day bookings
For 2012 we are offering Club members the chance to book onto Track Day in a number of different ways.

In addition to booking for a full day, it is now possible to book for just a half day. As many of our days are limited on how many cars we can accommodate on the day, the pricing of the half days is set to ensure we do not end up with a disproportionate level of un-booked half days.

We are also offering members the chance to try "˜taster sessions' on our days at Castle Combe. Initially this was intended only for the event in August, linked with the National event at Chateau Impney, but following requests, we have decided to allow members to book a taster session at any of the Castle Combe events.

To book a Taster Session, simply call Club office and we can take a booking over the telephone. The cost will be the same for any of the Castle Combe days, at £30 for members.
