Just a date for your diary, SAT 9th May

Originally it was going to be 25th April - this date was released by Knockhill to someone else so the new date is now Sat 9th May.

This Clashes with the Highland Tour but was the only date offered in spring/summer from Knockhill. The date is clear for PCGB Motorsport so works with the club.

Booking details will be in the club magazine (copy after next) I will also post up booking details on the forum and on the members mailing list.

It will be a Porsche Only event.

regards
Scott.

looks like £200 for K/Hill track day (member) and a whopping £375[] (non member ) wonder who thinks up prices or roll the dice !!!!!![][]

Something wrong there, how can it be £175 extra for non members when a membership is only £70

Probably looking to increase the membership and for them potenially secure the £70 year on year?

Hi All, Well spotted - the non-member price for Knockhill was incorrectly copied in from the Goodwood details above - it is actually £270 for a full day non-member Updated track day form here: [link=http://www.porscheclubmotorsport.co.uk/sites/default/files/porsche_club_track_days_2015_12.01.2015_1.pdf]2015 Track Day Booking and Calendar[/link] Paul Grainger

Slightly off topic but what sort of times should be possible in a 996 turbo around knockhill ? I know that the likes of Stevos car will be into the 50's.

Neil, I go round in my Turbo but have never recorded my time, if you ask Gordon what his time is then take a couple of seconds off. Im usually in front of him. :)

aye right Donald[8D] dream on[8D] depending on ur track experience and car set up id say if ur around 63 sec ur doing ok in the 996rs normally 58/59 all day and 57 on a good day latest 991 cup cars were doing 49s really quick so that means DH with his 991gt3 should manage 65s[:D] [:D]

Thanks Gordon I've never tracked mine yet but did think around low 60's, I was doing 61's last year in my track car ( harrys lap timer)and hope to break into 60's this year with the winter upgrades. I think it was yourself that I got a passenger lap off a few years ago when I was up talking to Stevo , not long after I bought his old Motons.

A clio 172 running a 225bhp high comp engine on throttle bodies , and lots of weight loss taking it to 900 kg with fluids. I hope to do some SLS rounds this year. So just fitted kill switches and plumbed in fire system over the winter, also 4 pot Porsche calipers and a gripper platted diff as I was struggling for grip through the chicane and out the hairpin.

£160 for the half day appeals as I will have no brakes left if I do a full day in the Gt3, I find KH a killer on the brakes compared to say Oulton.

Mike, which half of the day would you book? I think the options are AM and PM. Not Dry or Wet . For £40 I think I will book full day. Alternative way to save your brakes, ask your Son how they slowed down in the Mini's. I think they used the car in front. Alan.

Quick Update. There are 30 spaces available for Club members only. (first come basis) OPC will be selling their spaces to customers also. OPC are still to confirm but expect Bacon Rolls and lunch for drivers. waiting on the programm for the day , but expect a couple of hours first thing will be sessions and then open pit lane for rest of the day. Will update when I have any more info. Regards Scott.
