PCGB Trackday booking

Maybe it's just me, tired eyes, dysfunctional fingers and computer ineptitude but I can't seem to find out about the track day dates being run this year from the Website. Anyone, Anyone??

PS Big hand to everyone who entertained on the track on Saturday. What a fabulous array of vehicles. I've always been a believer that one buys a car to use it. And they certainly were at Oulton. Bravo!!

Thinking about the Donnington day in June.

Am I going to be allowed on track with my 964, it was measured at 4750rpm giving 105.850db on Saturday.

Last time I did Donnington it was drive by noise testing.

Also, is there anywhere I can get a drive by noise test done?

Rob

I'll give you a drive by test from here in Bushby, if you go out and drive up the road I think I'll hear it [:D]

I also was 105.6 but the revs oscillated from 4750 to 5200 --- I think I was being too honest when he asked for 5k !

Hello! I'm booked for Donington in June in my RS. Been there a couple of times now and never had any problems with the drive-by tests and never had to "short shift". Please note that my car has the cat bypass and a cup pipe.
Last years PCGB event at Donington was a great day by the way. See ya there pal !!!

"Wifey" will have the family watching the show jumping at Bramham.

Do you think the quiet day will be a problem on a drive-by after 105 + static ? Mine also is catbypass plus Cup bybass and standard secondary silencer.

My first ever track day was at Castle Donnington !!! in a Boxster S.

Honestly Chris, last year at Donington there were 997 GT3's ,964 RS's, and a couple of 996 cup cars.Basically all relatively loud cars, but no black flags were given. Personally I thought the loudest thing out there was a rather nice old SC which passed the noise test no probs !
Can understand your concern as I was initially worried about the 98 db limit. I even bought a Will Norman muffler (£225) however I think the car would have passed without it no problem!

Chris

I was at Donnington last year with my RS and didn't have a problem at all. Mine has the cup pipe and cat bypass, so is pretty noisy. The only car that I know of that was not allowed to take part was a friend of mine's SC as its seriously loud and a totally different noise to the RS.

You should be fine...

Rob

Give me a shout when you book it and I'll book too, think Alan and Jason will as well.

Cheers

Ollie
