Last week. I was told that the early days at Castle Coombe and Goodwood book up particularly quickly (access and on weekends etc) so if you are interested in those book early. I have pasted letter from the club below.

Happy New Year to you from the Porsche Club GB.

Attached, as requested, is a list of the Porsche Club Track Day dates for 2005. These have only just been confirmed and will first appear in the next issue of Porsche Post. Included on the page is a booking form and I would advise you get your bookings in as soon as you are able, as the early days in the year usually get booked up very quickly.

This year there have been a few changes to our programme, as follows:

- Five of our days will be Saturdays - 2 x Castle Combe, 2 x Goodwood and 1 x Bedford

- Following Club member requests, we will be organising two days at Donington Park this year. These will be one in June and one in September. Both are mid-week.

- Due to repeated requests from Club members, we are running two of our Goodwood days for restricted numbers of cars. These days will be limited to just 25 cars (normally 35) and as a result all drivers will get more track time. Regrettably, this also means that the cost per head for these days is higher than the 'normal' Goodwood days. The 25 car days will be organised, one on a Saturday and one mid-week. These days are being introduced at the request of Club members and we are sure they will prove to be popular, but if they do not attract the necessary level of advance bookings, we reserve the right to revert to the regular number of cars, at the lower per head cost.

- The Club's biggest day of the year will once again be on the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit in July. In addition, we are repeating the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit Track Day which proved so popular in 2004. Once again, this will be on the Friday (26th August) immediately prior to the Porsche Club Festival at Brands Hatch.

- We do not yet have dates sorted for Pembrey or Oulton Park. These are being considered, but until we get our race dates finalised, we do not want to commit to any further Track Day dates.

If you would like to be a part of any of these days, please complete the booking form and get it back to Club office (address below) as soon as possible. To assist us in the event that days may already be filled, please send a separate cheque and booking form for each day being booked.

I look forward to seeing you during the new Track Day season.

Dates for 2005

As is often the case at this time of year, getting dates confirmed for the Club's Motorsport and Track Days is difficult due to the late confirmation of the British Grand Prix date.

We are releasing dates for those Track Day dates we can confirm at this stage and hopefully all remaining dates will be confirmed in time for the next issue of Porsche Post. As soon as more days are finalised, they will be listed on the Club's website - www.porscheclubgb.com. Alternatively, we will send you the most up to date listing, by e-mail, if you forward your e-mail address to trackdays@porscheclubgb.com,

Five of our days this year will be on Saturdays and for the first time, we are running two days at Donington Park, one in June and one in September. Our traditional and popular Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit day remains in the programme in late July, so hopefully we should get the good weather we had in 2004 ! We are also running a Track Day at Brands Hatch on the Indy circuit, on the Friday before the Porsche Club Festival.

Following requests from Club members, we will be running two of our Goodwood days with restricted numbers and cars limited to 25 (normally 35). This will allow for more track time for all participants and is a bit of a "˜toe in the water'. We have arranged these to include one mid-week day and one Saturday and we expect them to be very popular. If they do not attract the necessary numbers of bookings in advance, we reserve the right to revert to our normal numbers for these days. In that case, any drivers who have booked will be given the option of continuing with their booking. I am confident these days will prove to be popular, as Club members have requested them, but time will tell !

In addition to the dates shown below we are also considering days at Pembrey and Oulton Park. Please note that three of our Castle Combe dates will be run to the higher noise limit of 105dbA (normally 100dbA). This higher limit will also apply to all other venues, on all dates shown below.
