Hi all,

Can any of you knowledgeable chaps tell me what the latest CD UK maps for the PCM2 are please and where I can get a copy please? I have been watching for months on eBay but only the PCM2.1 DVDs come up. I assume I cannot simply copy the maps from a DVD onto a CD........?

Thanks,
B

Latest is 08 /2009 I think. No later ones are shown on the free sit for SatNav http://gpsunderground.com/forum/porsche/8578-latest-map-update-pcm-2-0-pcm-3-0-a.html but check with Richard as he should be able to help you.

I've just got one for my 2003 turbo from www.satnavi.com . its the latest 2011 map and cost £39.99. it came within 48 hours and works perfectly

The latest Porsche disks are dated 08.2009 (MY2010). 2011 maps do not exist for PCM2.0.

If that price is for the full 8-CD European set, it is a good price. If it is just the UK disk, it's expensive.

To run the latest maps properly, the software version of the PCM must be Version 3.0. To check this, press MAIN and TRIP at the same time. If it shows 2.0 then it can be updated with a special CD. Email me if you need it.

08.2009 (MY2010)

Thanks Eddie! And thanks Richard for the heads up on software.

One more quick question, if I may:

If I wanted to tour Europe, I presume I would need to have all the CDs to cover the countries within which I wanted to travel. However, what happens if I need to plot a route that covers more than one country, say from Marseilles to Genoa?

Thanks

All 8 CDs contain the Major Roads of Europe. If you want to drive from here to Marseilles, just put in the French CD, and it will route you all the way.

I need a update set please for my 2004 Cayenne S. It's PCM 2, can you PM me details of how I get them, and do how do I get the software upgrade as well Richard.

Thanks

Thanks Richard,
Much appreciated.

P.S: Like the Cayman S - my wife's favourite. How does it compare to the 996T?

It has a very different feel. It feels much lighter and more agile. Definately not as quick, but I find it just as enjoyable to drive, and it is quick enough for me. No regrets - I love it.

Glad to hear that but as we need to accommodate our 2 young daughters we are not able to follow you, at least for the next decade or so....

Have a good New Year!
