Hi guys, still awaitng my new car to arrive and trying to sort out a 2nd sim for the car for my 986 'S' PCM (MY2004) for when it arrives.

Will an orange sim work (my current network) with PCM(2?) or does it have to be a particular frequency to work with the PCM unit?

Thanks in advance!

Rick

Hi, got a PCM1. Bought a pay as you go card from Tesco, (about a fiver I think) and just forward calls from my mobile to the sim card in the car. Works fine as T mobile would not supply me with a second sim in case it got stolen. Have also found that I have has reception on the carphone where my mobile had no signal!

I bought a PAYGO SIM on Orange and it works OK in a PCM2.

However I had to register the SIM in my normal handset, and then put it in the car.

Orange are the only providers I've found that will give you a duplicate sim, this means you have same number for car and your mobile.
They may say they only do this for business users but if your just about to renew your contract you'll get it[;)]

thanks Tony, thats exactly the position i am in, i will try that ! [;)]

thanks guys, cant wait now, car coming monday [8D]
