Hi guys,
Have been experiencing some problems with my radio/sat nav computer system. The unit is fine playing music or cd's for some 5-10mins then decides to cut off. I can then hear a clicking sound from the subwoofer behind me and then the unit turns itself off. It then reboots and does the same thing again. I am unabe to do anything manually to it to stop this cycle which only ends when the ignition is switched off. On restarting the car it is fine again for some 5-10mins.
Have spoken to cardiff porsche who say they cannot get me a courtesy car till 31st march and tell me its out of warranty. The mechanic has only heard of this once on a (997) 911. What irritates me is that when i bought the car from cardiff 5 months old i had raised the fact that on starting the computer it said "single cd repair kit" - this i was told was nothing to worry about by the sales manager "Ian Peters". As nieve as i am i havnt worried about it till now when i could be facing a pricey repair.
Any advice on how to get this sorted would be gratefully appeciated. In my view when yopu spend 40k on a car you expect a bit betterservice than "i will phone you on moday".
