PCM Issue - SIM inserted/removed message

Evening all. I’ve a new minor fault with my Cayman I thought I’d ask about before contacting the OPC.

Randomly, the PCM goes into a cycle of displaying SIM inserted/SIM removed. As it does this the data connection drops in (SIM inserted) and out (SIM removed). In an hour drive it will do this randomly and can last from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. During this time anything that requires data doesn’t work.

I use CarPlay pretty much 100% of the time so it’s nothing more than an annoyance.

Anyone else seen this or have any ideas?

Try a PCM reset Kerry. Press and hold the volume button until the Porsche crest comes on. see how you go from there.

Dan

Thanks Dan, that worked.

30 mins into my drive to work this morning it started doing it. Following the steps above seemed to fix it. See if it reoccurs.
