Hi all need a little help have a 996 2004 c4s convertible last week we had a massive amount or rain in a very short space of time it was Insane and obviously I didn’t have my cover on as I had used it that day ?? consequently the drainage system could not cope and I ended up with water in my drivers / right side footwell water got into the Motorola phone controller under drivers seat and before I could disconnect battery some damage seems to have already been done my pcm comes up with no amp phone ect detected no sound display all seems to work ok just wondering what to have a look @ I’ve ordered a new second hand unit under seat .
As I disconnected the battery does the pcm need Re-syncing or something ? thanks in advance for any help ??????

Welcome Dan!

The PCM head unit, amplifier, phone module, and CD changer are all connected in a fibre optic (MOST) loop. If any one of them is faulty, the loop is broken, and you get the "No phone, amp, etc." message. When you fit the new phone module it should all spring back into life.

Richard many thanks for reply ??
I was hoping that would be the case new part has been dispatched so for me fingers crossed ?? ????
