PCM Phone

Could someone just confirm that the PCM (2001 reg'rd) takes the old credit card sized SIM card (I've not got the separate PCM instruction book).

If so, does anyone know of an adaptor that might be available?

Thanks

Try going down to your local mobile phone shop, I believe that all sim cards are still supplied within the credit card size carrier, and the shop pops out the mioni sim, they should have loads of empty carriers, and yopu can sellotape in your sim card. Thats what I did anyway until I replaced the PCM1

One thing to bear in mind is that the PCM1 only supports the earlier analogue networks such as Cellnet or Vodafone. 3, Orance, T-Mobile and now Cellnet and Vodafone are all digital and on a different frequency so will not work.

I have Orange and taped my small sim into a large holder and it didnt work and after fishing around was given the above info.

Be VERY carefuk when taping and inserting the card into the slot, i wasnt so much the first time and the sim came out and I nearly had to dismantle the whole blooming thing!

Good luck,

Rob
