PCM1 Phone System

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone knew if my 2002 Carrera 4's hands free system will only work with BT or Vodafone or is there an upgrade I need to do to allow it to work with EE which is my preferred provider?

Reason I ask is that it would be quite handy to be able to use the system with my EE account separate from my normal mobile number?

If it is an upgrade then it is going into my PSC on Tuesday and I could ask them to update the carrier settings.

Many Thanks.

Sorry, but PCM1 is limited to operators who still support the old 900Mhz network. Bear in mind the system is 18 years old, and you know how quickly mobile technology advances.

Best you could do would be to use an O2 or Voda SIM and set up a divert to it.

Ah, Great Richard, I had a spare o2 Sim floating about, so I bunged that in and it works fine.

I always carry a spare phone in all of my cars, so it made sense to use the built in one in case of a flat battery etc.
