hi as the title suggests im looking at changing my pcm 1 for a pioneer avic system so a couple of question if any one has done this baring in mind i may wish to replace the pcm for selling the car in the future so i would like to keep the wiring as original as possible
1 is it best to use the original amplifier or bypass it
2 are there any leads avaiable to convert to pioneer

thanks for any help in advance sorry if this has been covered but a search didnt come up with any thing

If you want to make the reversal easy, I would retain the amp. Just get an Audioleads PC9-410 adapter lead.

I put Pioneer AVIC systems in both my 996s, but if I was doing it again I would go for the Sony system with TomTom.

And if when decide to remove the satnav disk drive, there is useful 'cubby hole' replacement that Richard recommended when I changed my PCM1. Very useful place to keep stuff like the iPhone that connects to my replacement unit.

thanks again richard very helpfull as always and thank you dij for the handy tip just off to check out sony stuff cheers
