PCM2 CD MultiChanger connection

Hi, I have an Ipod Porsche compatible Blaupunkt cable that in theory should allow me replace the multichanger with a simple Ipod connection. but how do I access the rear of the unit? as its set so high in the center console/dash looking from beneath after removing the side trim/carpet panel I can easily see the rear of the aircon control unit but nothing of the stereo/ sat nav unit? can anyone supply a diagram or a link please??
 
Best bet is to remove the unit itself. Unclip the horseshoe at the bottom, and lift it away with the switches, which you will have to unplug. On either side of the head unit you will see two 5mm hex catches. Turn them 1/4 turn and the unit will slide out. I'll post a diagram when I get to my PC.
 
Hang on. Brain fade on my part. PCM2 doesn't have a CD changer cable connection - it uses the fibre optic loop. Are you sure that cable is compatible? I have heard of something similar used on PCM1, but not PCM2.
