PCM3 Sport Display help

I have a 2011 Boxster with PCM3 and Sport Chrono. The TRIP function has a SPORT DISPLAY and when you start the Stopwatch, you should get a display of the track/route on the screen with a start and stop pin and flag. The thing is, I don't get any track displayed, even after several laps of the same track. I can define a reference lap, but the display says 'no reference lap defined'. Can anyone who has used this function, give me some help?
 
I had my Sport Chrono pack in completely and it took the column operated systems wipers, indicators the lot completely out check your other systems
