peddle rubber rip-off

Whenever buying spare parts for my car I always get a price from OPC and 90% of the time end up buying from them as well.

Always accepting that age has further twisted my rather 'nasty' mind, please don't take away one of the pleasures left to the old and decrepit!!
I still get my 'weekly' amusement 'fix', from seeing the number of 'Lemmings' rushing to pay vastly inflated prices on eBay, for items readily obtainable from their local OPC for much less!
Just one example. Some 'joker' keeps asking £235 (plus postage) for a 993 RS steering wheel. (Yes, the one that greatly improves the driving experience in a 944)[:D]
I obtained mine from my local OPC for £181 all in.
Oh! I do hate myself!![] Why can't I just enjoy myself by watching 'Big Brother' like everyone else?

[FONT=courier new"]It does seem to be a rather inflated price .... but then ebay is a funny thing and we are assuming that all the purchasers of the pedal rubbers would have the time and inclination to phone and then go to an OPC - if they have a local OPC!

Whilst £4.40 does seem like a bit of a premium for having the rubbers delivered to your door I think for some people price is not the issue.

I have just spent a small fortune on rubber seals (sunroof x2, windscreen, hatch) from my local OPC and porscheshop only to find some of them even cheaper at forestfine and I spent literally hours researching just these few parts so it's no surprise to me that some are happy just to click buy-it-now without further thought.

Thats my two-pedals worth.

Phil
