I would appreciate any guidance on setting up of adjustable platforms to achieve a good ride height on a 1993 C2.

Brief History - Car has original Struts / Damper units with adj perches. At some time in the past it has been fitted with H&R Green Coil Springs. I am happy with these and intend keeping them.

Upon removal of the rear Units, the perch height on the Left is 15mm lower than the Right side. (have pictures but dont know how to upload 'em) This difference may explain why I thought the car was in need of new suspension - it did not drive well - on a smooth undulating fast sweeper, it pitched like a Car Ferry on a rough sea.

The car has been lowered to RS height, and I want to raise it to a practical height. (say RS + 18mm)

I am fitting Bilstein HD Dampers, - basically Sport Dampers without adjustment.

Ultimately, I will get the thing Corner Weighted and 4 Wheel Aligned professionally.

George,

Just get the new shocks fitted and get the alignment and corner weighting done. Ride heights will be set as part of that process. Depending on where you are there are plenty of indies who will do a good job although Chris Franklin at Center Gravity (www.centergravity.co.uk) is reckoned to be really good. Had mine done there - it makes a world of difference. The H&R springs with the Bilsteins is a good combination.

Hi George,
Glad to here you are making progress with your suspension. Can't give much advice unfortunately, as you know this topic is new to me too!. However, I am led to believe that Centregravity are coming over to your neck of the woods next month i think, (not sure whether it's to do with your PCGB region or as a demo/exhibition). Might be worth giving Chris a call if you are interseted, might save you a trip. [;)]

Marlin, my car costs me a few bob, but its not in that league........

Paul, thanks for the tip, as Dave suggests, I will definitely get my car to Centre Gravity.
