Anyone going to this new event over the weekend?

I have entered the 3.2 into the display area on the Sunday.

Hopefully we will see a couple of friendly faces.

Sorry Tony - further afield this weekend........[:)]

Having seen the reports of the show on Pistonheads forum, it appears the bad weather today and leading up to the show has taken its toll and it is a bit of a mud bath there.

I am afraid my garage queen will therefore not be leaving the garage.

Wellies and a 4 x 4 seem the order of the day I am afraid !!

Hi, Three of us made it on the dry and sunny Sunday - 928, 997 C4S and 996 C2. Display parking did not happen as display field was inaccessible after the torrential rain on the Saturday. How most of the cherished cars got out on Saturday evening is a wonder. Ended up in a double carpark shuffle as the marshalls tried to get us all separate display parking, but in the end we all ended up in one of the three general car parks - still very muddy and no car escaped the deep mud. Thence it was a long (1 mile) downhill and very muddy walk to the events but worth it when you got there. Lots to see and do. Next year Pentillie need to arrange a bridge crossing of the hill climb track as the queues were lengthy awaiting gaps to cross between race sessions.

Unusual matt black 997 outside the Michaiel Spiers watch stand. Williams Crawford also had a couple of older Porsche on display.

Fantastic views from the grounds and better weather on the Saturday would have made it all a special weekend.

Long walk back to the car - all uphill - and sensible shoes/boots were called for. Those in flip flops and 'flatties' were less fortunate.

Main road was jam packed with cars parked on the verges as they could not get into the main parking areas due to volume/mud.

Had to severely power wash the car whenh I got home, but a small price to pay for a good day out.

Hey ho for next year.
