Performance Exhaust Manifolds

Hi,

Unfortunately on the last visit to the garage i was advised that one of the exhaust manifold on my 930 was leaking from the joint between the flange and pipe on one of the exhaust ports (it seems that a previous bodged repair has failed). This comes as no surprise as the car has been popping like crazy everytime i come off the throttle!

Plan is to spend some hard earned cash and fit a new set of manifolds ahead of the summer months, i am tempted to take this opportunity to upgrade to some performance items however despite reading every thread i can find i have yet to find a definative answer as what is the best!

Should i ship in some headers from the US, such as GHL, B&B, Fabspeed, OBX (cracking welds seems to be a issue!)? Or so i understand, ninemeister are tooled up to manufacture their own? Then there's Dansk but not really sure what sort of quality these are?

Anyone have any experience, tried some out etc??

I have been using my Hayward & Scott manifolds for the last circa 10 years - initially with a Hayward and Scott exhaust box and later with a Fabspeed.

The heat exchangers still polish up like new. They have been on and off a number of times for various engine upgrades. No cracks (yet) and no compliants.

Cannot claim these are the "best" , but have certainly done the job for my EFI engine.

I have to say that over the past few years Turbo Thomas has made quite a name for himself when it comes to 930 manifolds and exhausts..... I've yet to hear anyone say anything negative, and 930 owners don't tend to be backward in coming forward when things don't turn out right!
