PET/Porsche part numbers

Hi, I have searched my version of PET for the following part numbers but cannot identify them:

951-341-149-01 (left hand)
951-341-150-1 (right hand

These supposedly belong to a '89 944. I am looking for a pair to refurbish but understand the correct part number(s) for my car to be:
944-341-027-02 LH
944-341-028-02 RH

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Stuart

Hi Riverside, I found these on fLea Bay, and asked the seller if he had the part numbers, he came up with 951 p/n, looking through PET it states the 944 p/n, hence the confusion.

Thanks

Stuart

951 numbers are usually the turbo version of the same part, the 944 being the S2 version. I don't know but I would imagine that if they are the same piece for both models only a 944 part no would be available.
Of course that doesnt mean you can't upgrade the S2 version to the turbo version.
Usually you can[;)]

I cannot find the two following part numbers in PET however I would bet those were earlier wishbones:
951-341-149-01 LH
951-341-150-01 RH

.. which may have been replaced by:

951-341-027-02 LH
951-341-028-02 RH

... which PET refers to as being replaced by 968 wishbones that have become the replacement units for all late offset (and non M030) 944:

944-341-027-02 LH
944-341-028-02 RH

Thats what I was going to suggest. All Turbo-developed parts (front wishbones for example) used on series two cars will carry a 951 part number, but this was replaced with a 944 part number when a similar (or developed part) was used in the 968. Therefore a 1986 model year onwards 944Turbo or series two 944 will use a wishbone which has a '951' part number prefix; and a 968 will use a part with a '944' part number prefix. Where the later series three (968) parts have superceded the earlier parts, PET will refer to a '944' part number for a vehicle that was built using '951'-prefixed parts.

Thanks guys, you have confirmed my suspicions. I just could not work out why the 951 p/n was not listed in PET. As the price is very cheap I am tempted to purchase and refurb thises 951 parts. Will report on the progress and any problems encountered during the refurb.

Thank

Stu
