Petrol cap nicked!

Anyone got a spare petrol cap (the nice red-and-nickel screw on type) I can buy to replace the one pinched from my '87 Carrera at the Shell garage in Tadley today?
 
That sucks and I sympathise but how the hell did they get to it or did you leave the flap up and why? Try all the breakers in the back of PP or you can buy them new from your OPC.

How? While filling up I put the cap on top of the petrol pump and turned my back for a few seconds. Gone! The attendant offered to look at the security tape but rang me later to say the cassette was a dud.

I am picking up a new cap from Porsche Reading today - £13.45 + VAT. Aggravating, and as you say, the cap won't fit his Transit van.

Just proves you are never more than two metres away from a rat.
