Petrol pump noise?

Hi all, ive got and had an intermittant buzing noise comming from the dash around the area of the air bag, I think it may be the petrol pump, dosnet really bother me and it may be normal, may not. Any one any thoughts. Generally runs for a minute or so but at no set frequency at all.

if your car is a C4 then it's likely to be the compressor for the brakes. If it's a C2 then I haven't a clue, you shouldn't be able to hear the fuel pump running though, so I would doubt its that.
Might be one of the servos for the heating doing strange things?

Hi John, its not that, had it before and a totally diffrent noise, definately an electrical buzzing.

Hey Mike, I had my fuel pump go bad last year, well got noisy. Wasn't a buzzing and the pump is situated below the fuel tank accessible from below the floor pan - any noise doesn't sound like it's coming from the dash area. Stick your head under when it's running and it should be evident.

Not much help.......apologies [8|]

No not a relay, only really happens on start up but as said, not all the time. It does sound like something running, rather than something chattering!
