"The gearshift has a long action and notchy detents that don't like to be rushed, the clutch is heavy and bites high and even at manoeuvering velocities the steering feels low-geared. The engine is a bit grumbly low down, pulling cleanly but without much in the way of either torque or enthusiasm."

"The steering still feels leisurely at speed, the front end only starts to respond with a surprising amount of lock applied and feedback is muted at best."

Not the best road report, clutch needs done, sounds like some bushes etc too.. probably lots perished in such an unused car. This is the problem with some low miles garage queens. Author says himself the car drives abit stuffy and feels abit wooly. If only he knew how a well fettled car should drive, but that's probably the only one he has driven, nothing to compare it against and doesn't know how it should drive.

Good read though.

well it may well be an accurate report...Porsche's are for driving and for driving hard...if they do little they don't like it when suddenly asked to perform...21k is nothing for a 30 year old car...I'd go so far as to say the lack of activity has damaged the poor thing.....bearings for one don't like sitting in one position for any length of time....iirc it's something like seismic damage or such although it's been a few years since I read the details..
