1... took my little old 944 for it's MoT this morning, and it passed straight through, nothing needed [:D]

2... took my little old 944 out this afternoon, pushing on a bit (60 ish) round a right bend, nothing too mad, coming out find myself sideways across the road first one way, then the other. Got it back together, got myself back together, lucky nothing coming the other way at the time [:-]
Road wasn't wet, maybe slightly damp, don't think I lifted off in the corner, so don't know what happened.

Must be a good day!

Damp roads? Mmm, did something similar yesterday. After coming back from a MOT got the Boxster on a straight and floored the throttle to find the rear end fishtailing at 5-6000 rpm. Took the throttle off and it sorted itself out and was then stupid enough to repeat same. Scary, but not as scary as yours. Traction control and new underpants please.

Sadly I have just been reading about a 968 owner who had the same today. He ended up on his roof, though.

The roads are satanic at the minute. I was on the way back from Homebase earlier (and teaching a very optimistic RX-8 a lesson) on dry roads and had some very 'interesting' moments, particularly on the big roundabouts where there's usually reasonable traction. I reckon all the salt and associated crap is still on the road surface as there's been naff all rain to clear it and it's making things a bit slick.

Cue the vultures, a 968 6 speed gearbox could help your motorway experience Fen.

Just bought a 964 and believe me, even in the wet, a 944 feels as though its on rails by comparison.
