Hi All
Please see the following request for a 996 coupe for a photo shoot to take place in the Cobham area on Tuesday 27th Sept.
If interested please contact, Russ Smith, Assistant Editor, Classic Cars magazine best via email at russ.smith@gmx.com
(Not the club or myself)

I’m looking for a 911 (996) coupe – just the regular model, nothing fancy – to take part in a feature and cover shoot for Classic Cars magazine. This is set to take place on Tuesday, September 27 at Chobham (also known as Longcross) Test Track in Surrey.
The car doesn’t need to be in show condition, just presentable enough to be photographed, but needs to be of standard appearance.
We will of course provide refreshments and cover people’s fuel expenses for the day
Russ

Best of luck
Kind regards
Andy.

Went along for the Classic Cars photo shoot yesterday, couple of photos below.............article in next months edition.

Regards
Andy

Blimey! I had a J reg TR6 exactly like that (yes, in "Saffron Yellow") and an F reg MGCGT, but mine was Midnight Blue. I'll have to get a copy of the magazine when it comes out.

Hi Andy
Looks like there were a few interesting cars on that photo shoot, hope you enjoyed the experience?, there's been lot of interest and request for cars from various motoring publications lately.
They have finally come to realise that 996's are great value for money and the best way into 911 ownership.
Have a look at this weeks (28th Sept) Classic Car Weekly who have put together a 996 buyers guide. (£2.50 from all good newsagents [:)])
I'm sure there will be more such requests in the future.
Regards Andy

The Alfa was great drivers car for its time and timeless styling. The Fiat 130 was a beast with a Ferrari engine lurking under the hood more of a GT. Triumphs were a great British car forward thinking, but under-developed and financed, which was a shame. Absolutely, loved my modified Dolomite Sprint and shocked many RS2000 and Golf GTi drivers.

However, absolute joy owning a 996. For once in my life stopped hankering for other cars... Must get this issue.
