hello

gosh I want to do so much to mine and would like to window shop at some alloy wheel options for my 86 944 turbo

currently has teledials

but would like people to post in a pic of beloved car with wheel options listing the correct rim and offset required.

sincere thanks to those that can help.

ideally would like 18" on if I can

you will have greatly reduced options, as a 1986 model year car required 23mm offset wheels.

I'm not sure if these are still available but drop Rav a line, you never know.

and these will fit.

My tip would be dont just look at the pics , drive one with 18's on before you make your final decision. ( as per the post below)

Regards

Mas

These are 18" from a 996 wearing 285wide rear 245 front. Feels perfectly bearable on the appalling roads near me tbh, much better than the factory standard Z4m

If you have the early deep dish teledials then you have just about the best wheel option already - getting the ride height just right makes a big difference to the way it looks so you might want to think about dropping it slightly.

Early offset also allows you to fit Fuchs - if you can afford them..

18's are too big (whatever Ben says [;)] ) they look wrong and aren't good for ride comfort. Tyres are more expensive as well.

[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Keep the Turbo teledials for the win. I'm going back to these after a stint with 17" turbo twists.
Still unsure if i should keep the turbo twists or sell them....[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

I've got 18's on mine and whilst it does tramline a little, I wouldn't say it rides badly at all. In fact, with the KW's, it rides better than a C350CDI on the optional 18in wheels! Having said that, I think if I had an early-offset car, I would stick to teledials or Fuchs, and run mega-low on KW's.

This is mine....

..and this is a really low S2 on 16's that RPM had in for a while. It looked soooo good this low but I think they had to chop the jacking points on the sills back a little[:D]

Do not put 18" on they drive horribly and tramline all over the place, i have a mint set of 17" Mille Cup1;s with correct offset that pack the arches out and look brill, they are fitted with very good Pirrelli P Zero_Only done 100 miles since total refurb are totally unmarked.
Very rare and no longer available in this offset.

Pm if interested
