Photos of 25 year old Stuttgart Stunner/New Photos added

Thanks, not sure I could afford to buy my own car in the current market or so the wife tells me [;)]

Hi Guys, been out in the car tonight to celebrate his first quarter of a century. It is my first Porsche which I have owned for five years.
It has covered 89000 miles and mechanically it has been faultless. Cosmetically I have done a lot to remove non standard items such as
steering wheel, gearknob, headunit and returning to standard. The exhaust has been changed for a stainless steel item with a slightly fruitier
tone but not to intrusive. Some paint has been refreshed to rectify some slight deterioration. Stainless steel heat exchangers next.
It is a keeper, so raise a glass of Mobil 1 to the next 25 and I hope you enjoy the pictures

Cheers Simon

Baltic Blue - I've got Deja vu. Great shots and great condition. I can't match the scenery here in North London. My favorite shots are 011, 012, and 013. Thanks for sharing, it is a very striking example of why we love and admire the marque.

Thanks for your kind comments. You are correct ,Baltic Blue. Photos were taken on the Durham Moors just outside a small village called Edmundbyers.

Thanks, just had a card through the door today from UPS to tell me his birthday present has arrived from the USA. Will keep you guessing and post a picture ASAP.

Butiful!!!!!!! That's about £25000 worth Mine is 27yrs this August so Iam treating her to a total respray in August Paul

Rizzo, she looks fantastic and hope you get out on the road and enjoy her! My girl is 30 years old in May so I need to get thinking of a nice pressie for her....I was thinking an upgraded air filter and service before hitting the paint shop over the winter. James

Thanks for the comments Guys. Here are photos of the cars 25th birthday present. Custom made carpets produced by Cocomats in the USA, not cheap but the quality is superb, no doubt they will last the next quarter of a century. Can recommend the process and customer service by Drew was faultless. Cheers Simon

Hi I also have a Baltic blue 3.2. Some of bodywork is in need of attention (Wings / bumpers). Could you let me know who you used, from the photos they have done a good job. I live in Sunderland and I'm guessing from your posts you live somewhere in the northeast Thanks Rooksy

Hi Rooksy, yes I am very pleased with the work carried out on the paintwork.I used a bodyshop local to me in Harelaw Anfield Plain. The garage is called RAY BARNETT and the paint is done by his brother Phil Barnett. Independent workshop his attention to detail is outstanding. Cheers Simon

where did you get the head unit ? I would like to find a broken Torronto SQR46 so that I could fit an MP3 & radio unit in it, but they seem as rare as hens teeth these days and cost a fortune !

Hi Gary, searched on Ebay for months, rejected two as they were both damaged when I received them but eventually bagged a good one. The display is a little dim but the rest works perfectly. I had the whole unit checked over and also modified so it will play MP3 through one of the radio channels, updated speakers behind the original grills as the old paper cones fell apart give a high quality sound. If I remember correctly I paid about £60 for the original unit about 2 years ago. I also posted wanted threads on Impact Bumpers and PCGB, all worth a try. Best of luck with your search. PS Dusted of a few cassettes as well[:D] PPS After all that though the best noise out of the car is still the flat six[:D][:D]

I was very lucky as it was badly listed on Ebay so I did not have much competition. All the work I did on the head unit etc was paid for by a Momo Race steering wheel my car was fitted with when I bought it,I listed that on Ebay and bidding was frantic, happy days. Another great buy was the standard wheel, newly refurbed including postage £30, just lucky, right time right place but checking listings on a regular basis. Cheers Simon
