I wish people won' t put pictures like that up. It makes me feel I ought to wash the car!!!!

I think that I should go out for a long hard drive to cheer me up.

Damn can' t do that it would make the car even more dirty, so I would be more unhappy.

Can any one think of a solution ?[:)][:)][:)]

Andy,

Very nice. How about a close up shot of those hand painted centre caps?

Did you sort out your starting problems?

I' d like a contribution for the newsletter, please?

Brian.

P.S. John, my Carrera is Marine Blue. What' s your point?

Morning all,

Here' s a close up pic of a wheel... Camera doesnt really do the caps justice though and the colours look a bit wrong.

Starting has been ok for a while, I' ve been ready to look at it but it just keeps starting ok.

I will write up the saga of the wheels and send it to you. Maybe tonight if I have time.

Steve yes I did get the datasheet. I have made a start on a FAQ and will be happy to update/create the data sheets as appropriate.

Cheers

Andy

No point, just a statement. I didn' t know what Marine Blue (note the capitals - why capitals ?) looked like.

Mine is dunkel blau (which, I believe, translates to dark/dim blue). The exact name of the colour does not matter to me, the paint code is all I may need.

I' m not sure how the interpret the colour code on the vehicle identification sticker. I think it is C16.
I have got a long list of options that I' m trying to decifer: 058, 330, 335, 383, 387, 395, 425, 473, 474, 490, 494, 567, 650, 975 04241 - is there a look up web site?

975 - velour carpet in luggage compartment
650 - sunroof
567 - windshield graduated tint
494 - amplifier system
490 - hi-fi sound system
474 - sport shock absorbers
473 - with spoilers
425 - rear wiper
395 - light metal wheels, forged
387 - sport seat, right
383 - sport seat, left
335 - automatic 3 point rear seat belts
330 - radio Blaupunkt Toronto
058 - bumpers with impact absorbers

What is 04241, the interior trim option?

Brian,

I believe C16 means UK spec, it's what you are supposed to check for on imported cars.

I did a quick search on Google for " porsche paint codes" and found the following useful site....

http://www.928porsche.net/paint911.htm

According to this site, 1988 Marine Blue has the code L35V
