Photoshoot next week, car needed

Hi all,

If any Club member is interested please give me a call, as this is quite urgent!

A 944 coupe is needed for a photo shoot next week. We don't have a location, but it'll more than likely be in the South: mag is based just outside London.

I appreciate that not knowing the date or location isn't ideal! This would probably appeal to someone who can take a day off at short notice. [&:]

Car can be any model, but must be original in appearance and decent condition.
Thanks!

hmmm..interesting...depending on what's required for the shoot I may be available , based north London ( remember I work in the media and know the abuse/lack of respect that can happen at shoots) Points to note: I haven't fixed the small rust spot on the passengers lower front wing yet but in general she polishes up well , car looks standard outside except for the twin exhaust tail pipe, however it's far from standard in the engine bay/interior ( due to extra gauges and apexi) oh and it sounds a lot better than a standard car too....:)

Pete

Thanks, Shaun and Pete. I'll pass your details on, and to be fair Shaun was first in line so I hope to see you in print. If you could PM me your mobile and email that would help.

Pete, I would never offer to source cars if they were to be driven by journalists, unless that was implicit in the agreement and underwritten. I only ever try to find cars for photo shoots, where there's no risk and the owner is there all the time. I've also been on photo and film sets where the poor volunteer regrets it afterwards!

I've used both my 944s in shoots, and it's a really interesting day out. It also gives you a nice record to pass on when you sell the car.

no problem Paul....Shaun got there before me so fairs fair...just give me fair warning if required and as stated details of what's required...I've been to 100's of shoots in my line of work...most go to plan...not all, hence why I would want details of what shots are required and who's involved, I will know from that whether it's a good idea or not.....:)

cheers

Pete

Thanks, yeah I've told Paul that I'm unable to do Friday and it also depends on location. If it's London it'll probably better for Pete to do it but we will see.

Replied to you, Shaun. As usual it's all last minute and poor communiations!

Will keep you posted, and will be talking to the mag on Monday as the office number is the only contact I have. []

Shame you are so far south, you would be welcome to use our 951..

Here is pretty pic I took of it earlier this evening, just had to do something with that gorgeous little toadstool!

Then again A9XXC and I were "on location" yesterday for some filming and my car couldn't have been treated better by the presenters.

(I was the hooligan sliding it around on camera).

I could be available too if needed, im working shifts so around during the day. mines a very clean standard & 99% original 944 2.7 in guards red, cheers, Tony

I could be available with my S2, Standard looking apart from the Boxster wheels. I'm Bristol based but can travel within reason - please feel free to get in touch - 07974231332.

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks, all. Hopefully they have been in touch with Shaun as his car fits the bill and his location is perfect for them.

Matt, the wheels would have made yours a "no": almost all the magazines like the cars to be visually original for classic car comparison pieces. What with that, and trying to get the right colours, and all the cars together on one day, I don't envy them!

Thanks, yeah they have been in touch. Hopefully we can fit it in on a date that I can do, if not I will post on here so others can take up the task.
