Picked uo the new car from Paul Devyea's at the weekend. Really nice bloke to deal with, fixed all the small probelms picked up by the Porsche PPI and throroughly went through all the cars operations befroe letting me loose on the road ... great bloke.
As for the car :) what can I say, its a dream to drive, very solid and firm to the road without being a bone shaker (like a certain EVO VII I used to own). Steering is spot on and very responsive. I knew I was going to get a well engineered car but it really has taken me by surpise just how well it handles itself ... I'm really impressed. (I know you lot already know this owning one but just had to share my joy at now owning one myself). I'll post up some piccies once the weather gets better.

Congrats Dale............

He did that with me before letting me loose...with my Turbo 2 telling me where everything was on the car........

I bet you cant stop grinning [:D][:D][:D]

All the best and ENJOY

Dale,
Welcome to the 965 club!
Take it easy with that boost, it takes a few weeks to get used to that raw power delivery.... pure old skool 911 turbo!

Congratulations on the new car Dale[:)]

Presumably yours is the Blue one?

If so, what does the sports exhaust sound like. I'm guessing awesome[:D]

Yeah mines the Tahoe Blue one. The car sound lovely, not sure what the difference is for the sports exhaust compared to the stock one as this is my first 911, but it does sound the dogs nutz

Well Done [:)]

What happened about the airco in the end, did Paul get it fixed?

Not that this would be at the top of your mind I guess [:)]

Pete

Yeah .. he got an air conn specialist company to do a leak test and regas it ... work great now

Just noticed your from Darlington. If your free next Thursday come through to Croft and have a butchers at the Specialist Cars Trackday. There'll be some awesome cars there, one lucky guy is bringing along a 964 Turbo S[:D]

Would love to hear that exhaust of yours. The 964 Turbo is at the top of my list as my next Porsche.

PS: I live near Redcar and often go up to Darlington so I'll keep a look out for you. Can't miss me, Speed Yellow Boxster S[8D] and yes, I do wave[:D]
