Picture of car on production line

Just thought I’d log into ‘My Porsche’ as my GTS 4.0 is due to complete soon and they now post a picture of the finished car at the end of the production line.

Hope you manage to get the pic. I thought it was only available for the 992 but maybe it’s been extended to other vehicle lines now? The car probably will have to be built in Stuttgart and many 718 Caymans are built in Osnabrück.

Yep, I can see the pic. The car was completed on Friday and is now at Emden. There are actually two pictures, one of the body half way through and the other is the completed car at the end of the line.

Yep, it mentions it as being built at Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.

Didn’t realise this was available for the Cayman. Mine’s due in the next few weeks, but I can’t see anything in My Porsche, only my current car.

Did the dealer set it up for you?

It might be the perspective, but it looks like it's being given a gentle pat by a couple of robots as it reaches the end of the line!

The Yanks have had this for a while and its called Track Your Dream over there. You can see every build stage and even track its progress at sea using the Vessel name they give you.

Not fully available over here though but we do get bits as Scooby has mentioned.

If you log into your My Porsche, your new build should come up. Mine shows as being at stage 2 of 5:

1- Order received

2- Porsche Experience Centre invitation sent

3- Vehicle in production

4- Vehicle complete

5- Final steps before delivery

No, the dealer never mentioned it. I already had a ‘MyPorsche’ account for the 718 2.0 that the GTS 4.0 is replacing and it just automatically appeared recently.

This is what mine looks like when I log into My Porsche. I didn't set it up, but got an email from Porsche GB then a couple of days later it was in my account. The car is isn't a true representation. That is updated when the car is completed.

As I mentioned in a previous post this facility may only be available for Stuttgart built cars. Perhaps yours will be an Osnabrück build?
